Windows 7 Key Features
-
Improved user interface - got a friend that goes on about how cool and easy an Apple is to use? Well Microsoft have really upped their game. Lovely little touches like shaking a single Window to hide all other windows is really neat and there are loads more under the hood. Half the fun is finding them - then watching your Mac mate's face go red as they realise they no longer have exclusive bargain rights.
- Improved search functionality - ever lost where you saved a document or filed that important email? Well Windows 7 improved search means you can search not just on filename, but also by content, and all this can be done ... in seconds. You can also load programmes up easily from the search bar so you no longer need to remember the exact location or trawl through massive list of programmes you rarely use.
- Runs on a basic system - you don't need to spend thousands on a computer with lots of bells and whistles to run the new Microsoft operating system.
- Choose the Operating System to suit you - with Windows 7 they have a selection of products available meaning if you are light computer user you can choose their basic home premium edition right up to the business user who would use the ultimate edition. Clearly the more expensive packages offer more features but in truth they are features most home users simply won't need.
- Improved file sharing and networking - Anyone who has ever tried to set up a home network on XP or Vista will know what a royal pain in the as... behind it can be! Well Windows 7 now lets you join wireless network connections in as little as 3 clicks, plus printer and file sharing is a whole lot easier too.
- Improved home media - a real nice feature and one that will have the Mac fan boys drooling is the new and improved home media aspect of Windows 7. You can now create great looking movies and slide shows at the touch of the button and share them on youtube within minutes. Plus with Windows Media Centre you get one place to enjoy your photos and music, watch and record live TV, and watch free Internet TV.
- Intergration with touch screen computers - The great news for touch screen users is that Windows 7 features Microsoft multitouch gestures directly into the operating system. This allows you to use similar gesutres you may have seen on an iPhone to pinch, push, rotate, and scroll items on screen.

"The Dell XPS 730x is the best Desktop Ii have ever had - It has 4 GB of Ram with a 1.86 GHz processor. It flies along with Vista Ultimate. I also got Microsoft Works 9.0 with the Dell, which was great and perfect for my home needs. I Also got 2 year XPS premier service and one year complete cover. A 24 inch screen was included which is AWESOME. 1tb Local Disk space is included, now that's what I call space to put all my software. The Graphics card is a 1024Mb NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 280 and the sound is awesome. That's why I have massive speakers to listen to music. I had McAfee Security Center included with this superb Dell Desktop."

"This is a great laptop for everyday use, it is great for so many tasks and it peforms them well. It's a great buy as it runs games well on a high-res screen and the webcam and mic are of a good quality. The software that it comes bundled with is pretty cool as well. Only slight downside is that the case gets fingerprints easily but I've yet to find a laptop that doesn't! All in all a great buy at a great price!"
