Lenovo Sets Up First Store In Tibet

Post by Sharat | January 4, 2010 | Lenovo Computers, News | Comment

Personal computer manufacturing giant Lenovo has opened a store in Tibet.  The Lenovo 4S store (the first of its kind in the region) opened in Nyingchi on the 1st of January. The store operates as both an experience centre and product display store, and will also provide servicing for Lenovo products in the region.

People who live in Tibet and required computers for work purposes previously had to purchase them through government procurement policy. The advent of the Lenovo store now means that residents and businesses located in Tibet, now have a physical store from which to buy their computer hardware from.

Lenovo says that it will set up more 4S stores in the region to help promote its brand, which would allow farmers and those who rear livestock for a living to access computer products.
