Chinese computer manufacturing giant Lenovo has announced the launch of a new series of laptops which it has dubbed the ThinkPad Edge, which it says will bridge the gap between its enterprise ThinkPad range, and its consumer IdeaPad range.

The ThinkPad Edge will mainly consist of 13.3 inch models and retail from between US$700-900, depending on the CPU selection. The ThinkPad Edge will offer both track-point mouse and a touch pad, red or black colour options and either AMD or Intel based CPU options, giving consumers more choice the company says.
